An outdoor space is best enjoyed in comfort. For this project Blend Concrete Design created a concrete seating arrangement for a residential rooftop space with a beautiful view of Brisbane City. The curvaceous lines of our concrete seating creates a welcoming space. Concrete is a fantastic material for a feature piece in an outdoor space. Blend Concrete Design uses high quality sealants to ensure our pieces can be enjoyed outdoors. An added benefit of installing our pieces outside is that they can be high pressure hosed.
Blend Concrete Design handcrafted custom concrete columns, wall panels and a visual merchandising table for the Gold Coast Yves Saint Laurent store. One of the most unique features of concrete is its ability to be poured into unique forms, shapes and finishes. Blend Concrete Design worked with the client to achieve a finish that accentuates the natural and raw texture and tonal qualities of concrete. The floor to ceiling columns span 4 metres and feature raw qualities such as air pockets which contrast beautifully against the other materials in the space. Blend created all concrete pieces with a sand laid texture. We undertook a colour matching process to ensure that the concrete pieces complemented the marble and mirrors in the space.

Blend Concrete Design enjoyed the design challenge involved with creating the concrete pieces in this beautiful Teneriffe home which had been converted from a warehouse. We created stunning custom floor to ceiling concrete wall panels in the main downstairs living room. We also created a ‘floating’ concrete bench seat to sit seamlessly against the concrete wall panels. The concrete plinth beautifully complements the timber features in the space, particularly the original timber sleepers preserved in the warehouse conversion. The curves in the kitchen island presented a design challenge which took our designers months of refining to perfect. The raw characteristics of concrete and the many curves in the piece are beautiful and unique.

Blend Concrete Design created a statement concrete reception desk and café counter at the new Brisbane Lions headquarters in Springfield. Blend worked with the client to select the perfect terrazzo mix to complement the other materials in the space, such as the concrete floor, brass lighting and timber finishes. From the curved concrete edges to the undermount lighting, the reception and café are two beautiful new spaces in the Brisbane Lions’ newly built facilities.
Blend Concrete Design were excited for the design challenge involved in creating the concrete arches at Princess Arch Theatre. One of the most unique features of concrete is its ability to be formed into complex shapes and multi-axis curves. Concrete can be poured to create unique forms, shapes and finishes. The gentle curves and incredible height of the arches creates a stunning framing effect. The backing mirrors highlight the beautiful raw features in the concrete arches which contrasts beautifully against the brick wall.
We created a statement custom concrete reception for the New Farm Peak Sports and Spine Centre. Our beautiful concrete curved piece welcomes clients to the Centre. Blend Concrete Design worked with the client to emboss the company’s logo into the curve of the concrete piece. The company’s mantra ‘#DREAMBIG’ was also embossed at the end of the piece, making it truly unique to the Centre and the brand.

Blend Concrete Design handcrafted two custom dining tables and four side tables for a stunning 5 floor riverfront property in New Farm. Our industrial design team worked with our client to refine the designs to ensure that they met the client’s practical needs and aesthetic preferences. We created each of the concrete tables in a custom terrazzo mix. The concrete colour and mix of aggregate were carefully selected to perfectly complement the colour palette of the home and other materials in the space, such as marble and stone. Blend Concrete Design’s pieces are sealed with a high-quality sealer making them perfect for indoor and outdoor use. We installed the custom concrete tables across two outdoor living spaces overlooking the Brisbane River.
It was great to be a part of the fit out of the new Brewdog bar in Fortitude Valley. Blend Concrete Design created custom concrete bar tops for the venue. The dark hue of the concrete complements the deep timber bar front beautifully. The combination of the concrete, brick walls and dark stools create a rustic atmosphere. Blend also created custom stair treads and landings in a stunning terrazzo.

Our Verona Table and custom concrete seating make for a beautiful centrepiece in this tranquil outdoor haven. Blend Concrete Design created a concrete custom bench seat and stool set to add something extra to the space and to complement the Verona table. The natural qualities of the concrete complement the layered tones and raw elements featured within the space. The green hues in the ‘Rainforest Green’ concrete pair perfectly with the gorgeous plant selection and crazy paving
Blend Concrete Design created custom concrete wall panels, floor panels and ceiling panels for the Brisbane City Balenciaga store fit out. Our client wanted a custom size and finish for the wall panels inside the store and for the internal and exterior façades. We created an ‘erosion’ effect in the exterior façade panels and the interior panels feature a custom hand stained effect. The external façade was a statement with floor to ceiling concrete wall panels spanning over 5 metres in height. The change rooms featured floor to ceiling wall panels which were illuminated by the change room lighting – a luxurious environment for customers of the store. The ‘grunge’ feel created by the detail in our wall panels provides the perfect contrast to the avant-garde and edgy streetwear designed by the French based fashion house.
Blend Concrete Design enjoyed being a part of BVN’s new fit-out of their Brisbane City office by creating a custom terrazzo kitchen benchtop. Blend worked with BVN to select an aggregate mix that would make the kitchen benchtop a feature in the space. The small details in the design made it a feature piece, such as the choice in and distribution of aggregate, the integrated drainer grooves and the cantilevered kitchen top. Blend Concrete Design create custom terrazzo mixes with a range of aggregate. Features such as integrated drainage grooves can be added to make concrete pieces even more unique.
